The GRC Team
The Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Team is a dedicated group of professionals who diligently navigate the complex world of financial regulations. They ensure our unwavering commitment to regulatory compliance and the highest industry standards, designing robust risk management strategies, and cultivating a culture of transparency and accountability. As a Tapster You Will:
Develop and implement comprehensive governance frameworks in full compliance with SAMA’s Key.
Board operations, executive management, committees, shareholder rights, and disclosure.
Design and maintain governance policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with regulatory requirements and international best practices (BCBS, OECD, IFSB).
Conduct regular governance assessments and gap analyses to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
Support Serve as primary liaison between the Board of Directors, committees, and management on all governance matters.
Coordinate the establishment and functioning of Board committees (Audit and Risk) in accordance with SAMA requirements.
Facilitate Board evaluations, succession planning, director training, and ensure proper meeting documentation and records management Regulatory Compliance & Reporting.
Serve as primary point of contact with SAMA on governance matters and ensure timely submission of all required reports and disclosures.
Monitor compliance with SAMA regulations and maintain awareness of evolving requirements, advising leadership on necessary adaptations.
Prepare annual governance reports and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and examinations Policy & Culture Development.
Develop critical governance policies including conflict of interest, related party transactions, fit and proper assessments, board independence, disclosure frameworks, and whistleblowing mechanisms.
Drive governance culture development across all organizational levels through training programs, awareness campaigns, and leadership engagement.
Serve as internal governance advisor and subject matter expert, fostering accountability, transparency, and ethical conduct Stakeholder Management & Monitoring.
Build effective relationships with Board members, executive management, regulators, external auditors, legal counsel, and shareholders.
Establish governance metrics and KPIs, prepare regular reports on compliance and improvement initiatives, and maintain governance risk register.
Monitor Board and committee activities, track implementation of resolutions, and coordinate General Assembly meetings.
Stay abreast of governance trends, benchmark against peer institutions, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring to the Party:
Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Corporate Governance, or related field (or Bachelor’s with exceptional experience).
8-10 years in corporate governance, compliance, legal, or risk management, with 3-5 years in leadership; proven experience in financial services/fintech.
Professional governance certifications (ICGP, CGP, ICA) highly preferred; experience advising Boards of Directors and senior executives Technical & Core Competencies.
Expert knowledge of SAMA’s Governance Principles, Saudi Companies Law, and international governance frameworks (BCBS, OECD, IFSB, King IV).
Deep understanding of board dynamics, committee structures, executive oversight mechanisms, and financial services regulatory environment.
Strategic thinking with ability to align governance with business objectives; excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management.
Exceptional communication skills in English (Arabic is a strong advantage); superior stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to influence and advise senior leaders and Board members with confidence, diplomacy, and collaborative leadership style.
