This team is building technology solutions to simplify MENA payments regionally and globally for businesses of all sizes.
As a Tapster you will:
Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and functional specifications
Design, develop, and execute test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our online payment platform
Conduct thorough testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing, to identify and document defects or issues
Understand the API request & response
Carry out stress testing on each API using any automated tools
Work closely with developers to reproduce and isolate issues, and provide detailed bug reports
Track and manage defects using bug tracking tools, and follow up on their resolution
Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks
Participate in code reviews to provide input on testability, quality, and potential issues
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance
Carry out other duties, as assigned based on the demands of the business and growth of the role
What you will bring to the party:
4+ years of role-specific experience in Financial Services/Fintech/High-Growth Startups
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices
Experience with manual testing techniques and tools
Familiarity with bug tracking systems and version control tools
Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) is a plus
Ability to establish credibility and internal relationships
Understanding of client/merchant/stakeholder care
Awareness of how your role supports the business
Enthusiasm for working in a growing fintech
Ability to work in a team and follow daily tasks
Skills and knowledge to actively participate in meetings
Ability to deliver work on time
Problem-solving and quick-thinking skills
Ability to organize information and ask relevant questions
Strong communication skills in English, with a preference for Arabic language ability
